This Gala empowers us to help people facing life challenges who struggle with mental health and substance use so they can meet their emotional and basic needs. We offer Peer-Led support groups, one-on-one’s and community resource navigation so the individual can choose what they need that’ll be helpful to get back on their feet. Every person matters, and we give FREE help WITHOUT judgment. We were there once, so we understand the struggle!

KEYNOTE
Emily Keller, Special Secretary of Opioid Response in Maryland
As part of the Governor’s cabinet, Ms. Keller is collaborating with Maryland communities to reduce overdose deaths, bring educational awareness, increase prevention strategies, expand SUD recovery services, and fight stigma which too often inhibits people from seeking treatment.

National advocate, writer and keynote presenter on mental health and suicide prevention. Recipient of the Transforming Lived Experience Award at the American Association of Suicidology Conference April 2022.
Neil Donnelly, Interim Exec. Dir.
With the intent to maximize “social impact” through peer-led recovery the reduction of deaths by overdoes and suicide, Neil is championing the mission of On Our Own of Frederick County.
